This weekend was pretty good. I managed to composite about 18 shots from the final scene, all close-ups of Jack. My general approach for the visual effects in each scene has been to tackle the easy effects first, in this case the blue-screen close-ups. I did all of Liz’s close-ups during the past week. Now I just have some wide shots of the two of them, and then, finally, inevitably, the single most difficult visual effects shot of the film. I also plan on plus-ing the close-ups during the upcoming week; particle effects in the atmosphere.
