Just An Averaged Track September 25, 2008

Posted by William J. Meyer in Jack's Post-Production.

One of the most awesomest things about the After Effects’ community has to be the blokes that write scripts and then hand them out for free like tasty jelly babies.

One that has been really helpful these last few weeks is called TrackerViz. Among other things, the script averages multiple motion tracks; I’ve been applying that data for smoother/more accurate tracks on handheld shots to extend terrain. It works beautifully. Big props to “nab,” the script’s creator, and “hype,” who recorded some tutorials. Maybe I should have a handle? Something like “Devourer of Worlds.”
