Hazy Shade of Nuthin’ September 12, 2007

Yesterday we shot the “Jack builds toy house” sequence. I had read somewhere that Kurosawa used incense to diffuse the air on forest locations, so I thought we’d try that for this tight-quarters sequence shot inside a garage. It was somewhat comical how it did not work whatsoever, except to erroneously suggest that Jack was a smoker. Heavy sigh.

After Chris left for the night, Jeff and I captured the final shot of the film. Then we high-fived.

We have, let’s see, one day left with the full cast, one day with just Chris and Cerissa, and another day with just Chris, and then principal photography is complete. I don’t want it to end! I could go on capturing little moments forever.
